“The Old Theatre” Southwell
It is not kown how old the theatre is, but a performance at the there can be dated back to 1812. In the 20th century it was used as Gascoines' auction room and now part of it has been converted into a popular Delicatessen and restaurant.

Alfred owned the Old Theatre and old press cuttings announcing Alfred's death claim that in the past, well before Alfred owned it, Lord Byron took part in local amateur theatricals staged there.
